Basil is very aromatic Sweet Herb and it’s a flavoring in food and sauces, it’s also add to meat, cheese, and egg dishes. Basil also have a medicinal use as treatment nervous disorders & to lift the anxiety, depression & headache, and used for treatment stomach cramps, you can add basil to practically everything, Basil is still considered the “king of herbs” by many cookery authors. It is a half-hardy annual plant, best known as a culinary herb prominently featured in Italian cuisine, and also plays a major role in Southeast Asian cuisines. Also Usage in drinks and desserts and some unguents, bath, or medicine. Scientific studies in vitro have established that compounds in basil oil have potent antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties, and potential for use in treating cancer. In addition, basil has been shown to decrease the occurrence of platelet aggregation. It is traditionally used for supplementary treatment of stress, asthma and diabetes mellitus. |
